York County Audubon will present the program “Serendipitous Travels – Birding without Blinders” featuring Sue Keefer and Steve Norris. The presentation will be held on Tuesday, May 21st at 7pm at Wells Reserve at Loudholme Farm and also via Zoom.
During the winter months, when they are not experiencing new places, they volunteer at the World Birding Center/Estero Llano Grande State Park in Texas, leading and assisting with programs and habitat improvements. In the summer, you can find them on the midcoast of Maine, exploring, spending time with my grandchildren, and working as a bird guide at the Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge.
He knows them from working summers at the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge in Timber Point and from a program he did with York County Audubon during a trip to the Galapagos Islands in 2018, according to a press release. There will be many people. They are keen explorers of all things natural and mostly avoid urban areas. They like to look for learning opportunities wherever they are.
They will be announcing a new program based on some of their travels and adventures around the planet. Includes antidotes, anecdotes, art, and more.
This program will be held in person at Wells Reserve's Mather Auditorium in Loudholme, but will also be offered via Zoom.
