These World Championship events come in addition to a number of World Cup and age group events across six sports: swimming, water polo, diving, artistic swimming, open water swimming and high diving, completing the 2024 competition calendar .
World Swimming also oversees several ambitious projects aimed at strengthening athlete development pathways across 210 national federations and five continental associations. We are also launching some great new initiatives aimed at improving the swimming fan experience at our events, while driving sustainability measures across all our activities and activities. Swimmer Jamie Yeung's journey to World Aquatics begins in 2023 after a successful career representing China and Hong Kong at events such as the 2019 World Aquatics Championships – Gwangju and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Notably, she combined her athletic activities with her academic excellence as a student-athlete at the University of Michigan, where she earned her bachelor's degree in economics and master's degree in business administration.
“The World Aquatics internship was the ideal transition program for me and proved to me that it's never too late to change the trajectory of what you want to do for your career. I finished my master's degree after the Tokyo Olympics. After that, I started a consulting job, but I missed the passion I had in the pool during my competitive days, and I thought there was a way to utilize what I had been doing in society. “At World Aquatics, the focus of the athletes' internship experience was to work in different departments,” Yang added. “From supporting the organization of global competitions to sports marketing to finding ways to develop and improve the six sports of the 210 national federations, there are differences, but all contribute to the overall success of world swimming. Through my internship, I was able to see how all of this works behind the scenes.”

what will you do• You will work directly with the World Swimming Team at our headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland.
