Will Ospreay believes that he can contribute to the growth of AEW by spreading it around the world, and that is his goal. Ospreay appeared on the Swerve City podcast and talked about how he's been able to grow through his travels around the world, and said he wants to help AEW in the same way. Check out the highlights below (by Fightful):
On wanting to travel the world with AEW: “For me, I'm a guy who enjoys seeing the world. I love doing it. When I come here, I naturally bring in a little bit of flavor from around the world. I I don't want to forget what we created. My main goal is to take AEW everywhere. I want to do shows in Tokyo, I want to do shows in Osaka, I want to do shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Dublin. That's my main thing with AEW. I want to travel all over the world because I believe travel broadens us.”
On how he grew through his travels: “What made me a man? [Swerve] He knew me since I was a child. It was annoying. I was a little fulfilled, but I didn't know anything about myself. I learned everything at a young age and used social media mostly as a diary rather than a promotional platform. It happens. I had to learn and every time I let someone down, I was ready to get back up on my knees and go to work to prove myself. Every time I grow up, I grow up and now I'm in the position of being a parent. I know who I am as a person, and I still believe it's because of everything I've done. Everyone I met. All the fans I've shaken hands with. All the wrestlers I fought against. I believe the best way for AEW to grow is to travel and do more pay-per-views everywhere, including Japan, Mexico, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe. That's my goal in AEW. ”
