Video game movies don't seem to be just for celebrities like indie movies El Paso and other places like Max Payne Next is the adaptive train.
This is the era of video game movies. Sure, superhero movies still exist, but since Avengers: Endgame, it's become increasingly clear that the world of video games has plenty of powerful stories to tap into. There's a strong lineup including the upcoming Weird Knuckles series, the third Sonic movie, and his star-studded Minecraft movie. Indie titles are also in the spotlight, with the announcement earlier this month that the horror fishing game “Dredge'' will be adapted into a live-action movie. But what was announced yesterday is the latest indie title to hit the movies yesterday: El Paso, Elsewhere.

You may have never heard of El Paso, Elsewhere before, but you're sure to find something familiar there. This 2021 third-person shooter is heavily inspired by Max Payne and features slow-motion bullet time. What makes this one stand out is the fact that he has to kill his ex-girlfriend. The ex-girlfriend also happened to be the Vampire King. It's an incredibly powerful concept, and as reported by Variety, it looks like its live-action adaptation is already off to a strong start. Atlanta, Sorry to Bother You and Get Out's LaKeith Stanfield is reportedly in talks to join the project, which will be directed by Lorenzo di Bonaventura Pictures. The same production company that produced the films “Transformers'' and “G.I. Joe'' appears to be producing this movie.
It doesn't seem like a director has been chosen yet, but with a stylish game like El Paso and elsewhere, we can only hope they get someone with some experience (and knows a good cinematographer). . too). There's also no release date for the movie, but the original game is available on Steam as of this writing, so you can always try it out first.
