What is a travel advisory?
of State Department It provides U.S. citizens with information about international travel safety, so if you're planning on traveling to a foreign country, you can sign up for travel advisory alerts.
of Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs There are four travel advisory levels, with 19 areas currently at Level 4, the highest risk.
Alert Level 4 means there is a high probability of life-threatening risks for American travelers visiting a particular country.
In these unique and dangerous circumstances, the U.S. Government's ability to assist, including in an emergency, may be severely limited. The Department of State advises U.S. citizens to avoid traveling to or leave the country as soon as it is safe to do so.
