May 27th is National Hairstylist Mental Health Awareness Day, so we thought we'd take a look at some video game hairstyles that would make any stylist who came in trying to copy them cry. For the sake of sanity, we haven't included many anime hairstyles (though we're going to cover them here). Yu-Gi-Oh! At this point, the bar seems too low, and I Final Fantasy and Kingdom hearts If I don't know the characters on this list, I'll be stuck here for a while.
Of course, JRPGs aren't banned, but please take my comments with a pinch of salt – this is by no means a serious article, so sit back and watch me sweat like a hairdresser.
Seymour Guado
Final Fantasy X
Not only does Seymour stand out to me as the villain, but the fact that I found his hairstyle incomprehensible for so many years says a lot. Final Fantasy The hairstyles of the characters make no sense, but what about Seymour? His hair annoys me. The way it sticks out defies the laws of physics. What if it had weird antennae? What if it had devil horns? His hair is fine, but his hair is ridiculous. His hair is so ridiculous, can you imagine going to a salon and asking for a hair treatment? Absolutely not. Seymour has committed many sins, but he will never atone for this sin against his hair.
Alea
Fire Emblem Engage
Personally, I don't think Alea's hairstyle is as bad as some of the others on this list, but the hair color is baffling. Dyeing hair is a difficult thing to do, and mixing red and blue takes hours, especially if you have to bleach your hair first. There's a reason these two were likened to Colgate and Pepsi. Their hair isn't the worst, but what breaks my heart is that it's not a 50/50 mix of red and blue. Instead, we see a mix of red and blue in the middle of each block, which is the most frustrating thing here.
Cunning
Street Fighter series
I can't leave this list without mentioning Guile's hairstyle. Guile was developed for American fans and I can't help but think this was a joke design they lost control of. It's a 3 inch wide flat top style and I don't understand why Guile is so hung up on this image. He even styles it and the military developed a special hairspray for him. I just don't get it. I know his look is based on Polnareff. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Fame, but that's not relevant here (after all, who doesn't like Polnareff's hair?).
Paul Phoenix
Iron fist Series (not counted Tekken 8)
I have to say: Paul is pretty much forgiven for his hairstyle. Tekken 8I have to admit, he's got some pretty good style in the latest game. But in previous iterations, he had some questionable choices. Okay, I'm all for gravity-defying hair, but this? How much gel does he need to use? Well, the screenshots chosen were Tekken 4and this seems modest, especially compared to the first game. The best way to explain how I view this hairstyle is the moment Gon Freecss grows out Hunter x Hunterand his hair grows with him. But Paul's hair is steadily becoming more realistic and I'm happy to watch him grow out over time.
Pier
Pokémon Sword and Shield
Imagine you walk into a salon and request a style like Piers'. Pokemon series. If he had lush, thick hair, he wouldn't have made this list. Heck, just think of how much color it would take to match his style. Not only that, but the intermittent spikes, no matter how striking, are unimaginable. You'd need an industrial-grade spray (presumably what Gilles uses) to achieve this. So, yes, Piers wins the award for the most ridiculous hairstyle in the series. Pokemon Because if I had to do his hair like that, I think I would cry.
Laxine
Kingdom hearts series
Larxene has a similar problem to Seymour, but Seymour's is worse. I'd like to know why Nomura thought antennae were cool. Larxene's hair would be fine without this choice. If I went to a hairdresser and asked for this, I'm sure they would be stumped. How much gel would I need? Gel is heavy and doesn't have the same effect on long hair as it does on short hair. I know. It reminds me of my crazy hair days in grade school. So it's not going to work. The hairdresser will sigh and probably wonder if they should use Gorilla Glue. teeth It's okay to put it in your hair.
Kinshiro Morooka
persona 4
I'll admit that Morooka wasn't the best looking guy, but his unpleasant personality isn't what bothers him. Combing his hair and growing his bangs makes him look like he's trying to look younger, which is ironic considering how much he hates the students at Yasogami High. The problem is that no hairstyle suits Morooka, and overall it's very disappointing.
Darian Crescendo
Apollo Justice Ace Attorney
Darian's hair is not the most ridiculous thing in the world. I love pompadours, but everything about his pompadour is ridiculous. He loves the shark motif, and there were times when Klavier should have taken him aside and asked him to intervene. The spikes in the back make no sense, and the white dye on the tips needs to be explained very specifically. It makes me wonder: what does Darian look like with his hair down? How much gel does he have in his hair? Nothing makes sense anymore.
Yasuhiro Hagakure
Danganronpa series
Finally, we finish off this list with Yasuhiro Hagakure. I don't dislike his hairstyle, but I just don't get it. Danganronpa Although limited, while researching this article I was immediately surprised. Yu-Gi-Oh! One of the characters, Hagakure, seems to have a similar problem. His hair is quite spikey, but it also looks like dreadlocks. I don't know how much it weighs, but it worries me. No wonder he's sitting like this, his hair is probably carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. If you went to a hairdresser to get your hair cut like his, you'd probably get a blank stare, wondering what you did to them after hours to get this done (though admittedly, his future look is much better, and I think tying his hair back makes it a lot better).
I've handpicked the hairstyles that will make any stylist cry. Do you agree with this list? Are there any hairstyles you'd like to see that I didn't include? Let me know in the comments!
