The Department of Veterans Affairs has named 25 finalists to advance to the Artificial Intelligence Tech Sprint Competition, which aims to develop AI-powered tools designed to reduce burnout among healthcare workers.
Finalists will be selected for the “Ambient Dictation in Clinical Settings” track, which focuses on speech-to-text tools for medical appointments, and the “Community Care” track, which aims to create a document processing system to integrate non-veteran medical records. The finalist for Track 2 is Abstractive Health. Booz Allen Hamilton. Commune. Healow and eClinicalWorks. Instabase; joint venture with iCatalyst and Semiring. TranscribeMD AI; Palantir Technologies; Werovate. and wired informatics.
After VA tested the AI program, finalists were handpicked from more than 200 applications received for the AI Tech Sprint.
