The state of Georgia (including the University System of Georgia) requires all employees, including student employees, to take cybersecurity training twice a year, one of which is due April 30th. The training takes 15-20 minutes.
The training will be conducted online through KnowBe4 and will provide “effective, practical training on good cybersecurity practices,” according to a University of Georgia press release.
Those who need to complete the training will receive several reminders through UGA email. The reminder will be sent by Ben Myers (bmyers@uga.edu) with the subject line: “USG Mandatory Cybersecurity Awareness Training Deadline: April 30, 2024.”
According to the press release, you can complete your training by going to the following locations: https://training.knowbe4.com/auth/saml/8840131a04b53 Log in using your UGA MyID and password.
When you visit the training home page, you should see the UGA logo in the upper left portion of the training window. If you haven't completed the training, we have a course called 2024 Social Engineering Red Flags.
To proceed with the training, click the “Next” button at the end of each slide. At the end of the slide, you will be asked to complete a short quiz. After completing the quiz, click the “Next” button to proceed to the “Congratulations” screen. You will see “Complete Training” at the bottom center of the screen.
You must click on the “Complete Training” button to record your participation. Once the training is complete, KnowBe4 will send a completion notification to his UGA email.
