Under this agreement, DHS and DG CONNECT will issue a 2023 DHS report on how the federal government will streamline and harmonize cyber incident reporting and cybersecurity incident reporting measures contained in the European Union's NIS 2 Directive. Each area includes a high-level comparison of cybersecurity incident reporting frameworks and general conclusions about their similarities and differences.
DHS' Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and the European Cybersecurity Agency supported the development of the report to inform future approaches to evaluating cyber incident reporting processes.
