Tracee Ellis Ross is taking fans on a journey in her new solo travel series, Tracee Travels.
Tracee Ellis Ross jets around the globe and takes fans on her journey in Roku Originals' new solo travel series, Tracee Travels.
A new travel documentary series follows the award-winning actress and entrepreneur as she “meticulously, painstakingly, and sometimes ridiculously prepared, travels solo across epic locations.” Preparations are underway for filming. variety I will report it. Ellis Ross creates unique journeys with her signature style, wit, and sense of comedy, focusing on the “beauty, fashion, design, food, and culture” of each of her destinations. I will build it up.
“My first solo trip was when I was 22 years old. I decided a long time ago that I wasn't going to do what I wanted to do or wait for life to come my way,” Ross says. “Since then, I have been traveling alone, and my luggage has increased!”
The destinations for the travel series have not yet been announced. However, the “Black-ish” star will executive produce the show alongside E. Brian Dobbins as part of the Joy Mill Entertainment and Artist First production companies. Adriana Ambriz and Caroline Soth will serve as co-executive producers, while Olivia LaRoche, head of alternative originals at Roku Originals, will oversee development of the series.
“I hope this show reminds people that they can live their lives with courage, find happiness, and be the best version of themselves in their own right.” Ross says. “Everyone has the right to have fun, be bold, and be free.”
The “Girlfriends” star often teases her solo travel adventures to her more than 11 million followers on social media. Her fashion and comical lifestyle clips are the highlight, making Roku even more excited to partner with her on her new show.
“No one travels like Tracee Ellis Ross, and when it comes to traveling solo in style, she's an expert at it,” says Brian Tannenbaum, head of originals at Roku Media. “We can't wait to partner with Tracee, Joy Mill Entertainment and Artists First to take viewers on a once-in-a-lifetime journey and witness the joy of self-discovery and independence.”
“Tracee Travels” is scheduled to premiere on Roku in 2025.
