(BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — South Florida's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Palm Beach International Airport and Miami International Airport are seeing little travel disruption while other airports across the country are dealing with significant weather-related delays.
According to FlightAware.com, as of noon Saturday, there were 2,205 delayed flights within and to/from the U.S., with 56 canceled flights. United Airlines led the list of airlines with delays in the U.S., with 217 delays recorded as of noon Sunday.
At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, 64 flights were delayed and only three were canceled. Spirit, Silver and Southwest were the three airlines leading delays at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Frontier Airlines was the only airline to have a flight canceled.
At Palm Beach International Airport, only 12 flights were delayed. American Airlines led the way with six delays, Silver Airlines had a dive delay, and JetBlue Airways had one delay so far. There were no flight cancellations at PBI as of midday.
At Miami International Airport, 90 flight delays were recorded as of noon, with only one cancellation. American Airlines, which serves most of the airport, was the airline with the most delays on Sunday, reporting 64 delays so far. Delta Air Lines, Air France, Amboy Air, LATAM Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Virgin Airlines, United Airlines and Valaris also reported delays. United Airlines reported one cancellation.
Severe storms in the Midwest continue to affect Chicago-based airlines, including United Airlines and American Airlines.
