New data from Hopper, a travel website that tracks airfares, shows round-trip airfares are less than $100 for some April itineraries on 15 domestic routes departing from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Ta.
Domestic round-trip airfares are expected to average $294 in April, 1% below the average for the same month in 2023 and March, Hopper said.

Will air tickets become cheaper in April?
Hopper reported round-trip airfares from Phoenix to 15 destinations were less than $100, down slightly from 17 destinations in March.
Haley Berg, Hopper's chief economist, said that even though there are two fewer destinations with base fares below $100 from Phoenix, Hopper data shows that April was a year earlier than March and four times last year. It said the results show that people can expect to spend about $2 less on average compared to last month.
He said people can expect to pay an average of $294 round-trip for flights in April 2024.
Where is the cheapest place to fly to right now?
Round-trip airfares from Phoenix in April are nearly $60 to five destinations in Salt Lake City. San Diego; Las Vegas; Ontario, California. And Los Angeles.
The Arizona Republic found round-trip fares on Frontier Airlines to Salt Lake City for itineraries April 24-30 and to Los Angeles, San Diego and Ontario for itineraries April 20-24 are $58.
Spirit Airlines' round-trip fares to Las Vegas from April 16 to 20 turned out to be $41, $19 less than Mr. Hopper's estimate.
Note that ultra-low-cost carriers Frontier and Spirit both offer low base fares with additional fees for seat selection, carry-on and checked bags, and other amenities.
