NEW ALBANY, Ohio (WCMH) — Nine of about 20 superloads are heading to Intel's Ohio One factory, potentially causing traffic delays in central Ohio on Saturday.
The super-sized cargo, carrying tanks related to the construction of the power plant, is being moved from an Ohio River pier near Manchester in Adams County to a site in Licking County. His first three shipments were sent to Free Point His Ecosystems recycling facility near Hebron, while the rest were sent to Intel.
This load weighs 436,410 lbs., and measures over 19 ft. high, 16 ft. wide, and 19 ft. long.
On Saturday, the cargo will move along the following route:
- North on Rickenbacker Parkway to Alum Creek Drive.
- Continue north on Alum Creek Drive to Lohr Road.
- East on Rohr Road to Commerce Center Drive
- Continue north on Commerce Center Drive and south on Green Point Drive
- Drive east on Green Point and south to Salzgaver Road
- Continue south on Saltzgaber Road to State Route 317
- Continue north in the southbound lanes of State Route 317 through Groveport to Bixby Road East.
- East on Bixby Road to US 33
- East in the westbound lanes of US 33 to Gender Road, southbound to the US 33 westbound ramp at Winchester Canal
- Head south on Gender Road in the opposite direction to the westbound US 33 ramp.
- Continue north on State Route 674/Gender Road to Brice Road.
- Continue north on Brice Road to its intersection with Tussing Road/State Route 204 in Columbus.
- East on Tussing Road/State Route 204 to State Route 310
- Head north on State Route 310 to US 40 in Etna.
- Head west on US 40 to Mink Street
- Go north on Mink Street to Route 16
- East on State Route 16 to State Route 310
- Go north on State Route 310 to State Route 161.
- Proceed west on State Route 161 to Mink Street.
- Go north on Mink Street and turn northwest on Clover Valley Road.
The package is scheduled to be delivered to its destination on Saturday.
