Toxic Crusaders The game is now available for pre-order on Steam. Fall 2024 release. The exact date has not been determined.
Developer and publisher Retroware, in partnership with Troma Entertainment, has brought back characters from the 1991 cartoon Toxic Crusaders to create an all-new all-action fighting game for 1 to 4 players.
In the game, “When the evil Dr. Kirumov attacks, only one team of horribly deformed creatures of superhuman size and strength stand between him and his plan to contaminate the Earth. , the Toxic Crusaders, Earth's last, biggest, and ugliest hope for survival, as you defend Tromaville from hordes of radioactive rangers, mutated thugs, and zombie chickens through seven disturbing levels rendered in vibrant pixel art. The odds may be stacked against you, but with incredible strength, a winning personality, and up to four players on your side, the Smogran Empire's days are numbered.
Choose from seven playable characters including Toxie, No Zone, Junkyard, Catastrophe, and Headbanger. Plus, for the first time, Toxie's musically gifted girlfriend, Yvonne, and the mother of all You can play as Mrs. Junko, Toxie's mother!
Given that this is set in Tromaville, we're sure to see more Troma characters besides Crusader. Toxic Crusaders It will also feature fully voiced motion comic cutscenes voiced by TeamFourStar, industry veterans, and of course Troma actors.
