Voting is now open and BAFTA has announced the most iconic video game characters of all time.
The poll was launched to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the BAFTA Game Awards. The BAFTA Game Awards will mark his 20th anniversary on April 11th. Over 4,000 of her players from around the world participated and named Lara Croft as her #1 pick.

A live version of Lara Croft will appear at the 2024 BAFTA Game Awards ceremony (April 11). Sherry Blonde, who voiced the heroine in the original 1996 Tomb of the Tomb Raider, will present the award.
in statementBlonde said the game “exceeded all expectations” in establishing Croft's place in pop culture.
“When I voiced the original Tomb Raider game, I had no idea it would become such a global phenomenon, and neither did Eidos and Core Design. I had only done it before, so of course I was hoping it would be a success, but I think it far exceeded all expectations.”
The blonde continued, “When I was creating the voice for Lara Croft, I looked at the rough sketch that I had in front of me and came up with the idea that she was an Indiana Jones-like female character, brave and well-spoken. I focused on the fact that Lara is very special to me because she is very important to gamers.”
The BAFTA Game Awards will be held at London's Queen Elizabeth Hall on Thursday 11th April.
