One of the most naturally habitable places on our planet is our underground land: Australia. With that in mind, it makes a lot of sense that you'll find some of the world's most capable and wildest RVs and travel trailers roaming the land. One such machine is Fantasy Caravan's GT Series motorhome. It's an off-road and off-grid capable machine that can keep you alive wherever everything is trying to help you, including Mother Nature.
Hey guys, I'm sure the name Fantasy Caravan sounds familiar, especially since I've been covering their work extensively over the past few months. why? Well, mainly because the world they bring to the motorhome industry is worth your time and attention. But the GT is a little different than what we're used to seeing from this crew. If you've seen my other works of fantasy, you'll know what I'm talking about. If not, this next one should open your eyes a little.
Well, most of the fantasy machines we've featured include two different styles: either a pop-top camper, a lightweight caravan, or a camper trailer with fixed walls. The GT falls into the latter category, but it has no inclination towards being lightweight. This is more about ability than anything else.
The downside to this unit is the fact that the manufacturer doesn't mention at all what's in store here. Still, you can always use your image gallery and know-how to guess what's in store for you here and run with it. Let's start with the look of this bugger.

Starting with the base frame we can see, it's nothing but good old steel, but we're looking at whether it's galvanized under that paint or a nice coating that's resistant to the elements. It is not clear whether The obvious thing about the chassis is the suspension system.
One of the images in the gallery gives us a glimpse of this pup's undercarriage. From the looks of it, her suspension is installed with a trailing arm with two shocks per axle. Yes, this is a standalone setup and also includes an airbag, so auto-leveling is clearly part of the package. Oh, and you'll find that for each wheel.
As you move up the GT, you reach the bodywork. From the get-go, you can guess that the aluminum exterior frames this trailer's living space. Up front, a large storage bay packed with space for systems and additional equipment also appears to be constructed from alloy. Matte coating and diamond plating are intended to protect this area from flying debris. A-frames are also suitable for bicycle racks and other toys. A spare tire mount is displayed at the rear.

Before we get inside, we'd like to point out that the GT's shell is battered with some hatches that provide more storage space. The Australian really loves his outdoor lifestyle, so his one or two of these hutches is likely to hide an outdoor galley and perhaps an outdoor shower connection.
Well, while the exterior is cool and high-performance, it's the GT's interior that I feel deserves attention. why? Well, just take a look. The overall European style design is really nice and clean.
Inside, guests will find not one, not two, but three, consisting of a large bed at one end of the unit, a modular dinette in the middle, and a bunk bed at the opposite end. Access to sleeping area. There is also a bathroom here and more storage than there is a wardrobe at home.

But what I really liked was the galley. From the moment I first saw it, I noticed the huge solid surface countertop with her LED lighting built into it underneath. Perfect for showing off your master chef skills. There's plenty of storage underneath and a country-style deep bowl sink with a tall faucet will remind you of home. There is also an overhead cabinet with a conventional oven, large refrigerator, and microwave.
Everything looks and sounds pretty good, but there's one issue with the GT that I still don't understand. When I looked for a newer model, all I could find was one released in 2023, and very few RV dealers advertised the GT. Additionally, the manufacturer's website has been showing “Floorplans coming soon” for some time now, leading us to believe that the GT may not be available. However, the manufacturer is quoting a price of $89,000 in Australia, or about $58,500 in the United States (at current exchange rates).
Or, unfortunately, Fantasy Caravan is currently working on refining and seasoning this unit to a standard that will allow it to compete with countless other Australian units that look and perform the same. Time will tell.
