This week's RPS: Secret plans and clever tricks. There are also a lot of new video games, but nothing particularly giant or crocodile. On Monday, May 20th, we'll be introducing the very Alice B-friendly combo of Little-Known Galaxy, also known as a fusion of Stardew Valley and Star Trek, and A Tower Full Of hidden object puzzle games featuring a tower full of dogs, aka cats. It opens with “Cats.” Everyone is very bright. Well, hold that thought. The 21st is Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 time. This is another slice of Celtic kind of psychosis from Ninja Theory. Is this as disastrous as his accompanying Paper Trail *check out Nick's review* is incredibly annoying?
On May 22nd, Venture To The Vile, a 2.5D Metroidvania that already has a great line with background animation and scenery, and RKGK, a 3D platformer that tags neo-brutalist cities as graffiti artists. /Rakugaki, and Isles will be published. Sea & Sky's Zelda but also Sokoban. On May 23rd, we'll be introducing his long-awaited Hauntii, his ghostly twin-stick puzzle shooter rendered in two-tone line art, and his 14th-century, XCOM-like but French-made Introducing his Crown Wars: The Black Prince. On the 24th, a reboot of his 1996 masterpiece, Devil Blade, will be released, featuring a brilliant combination of sprites and his 3D environments.
As ever, these recommendations are just the decaying effusions of our decaying mortal intelligence, and we've no doubt skimmed through one or more notable video games. I'm sure everyone will be furious about this in the comments section. Also, as always, this week's video game is manna for the Maw, a brutal quantum edifice of starvation and plunder, and we must once again try to quell it with the news blog below. It won't. I'm working on a glossary of maw vocalizations. “BZZTYGHTAHJHJ” means “Fallout 5 release date” in Mosaic, “xh'nglar ghhgrhjw'nafh” means “to be on the left of the storm,” and “EEEEEEEEEEEEEE” means “Microsoft opens a new studio.” I'm sure it means “.” I hope everyone is having a great week.

This morning the maw appeared as a million mini-maws. They look like predatory, fiercely colored praying mantises. As I type these words, they crouch over my shoulders, squealing and hissing. Whoosh! Whoosh! Feed them.
