The Trois-Rivières Lions played the visiting Maine Mariners in an ECHL game in Quebec on Friday night, scoring three goals in the final 3:06 to break out of a tie and win 6-3. I got it.

Tony Finau set a career low on the PGA Tour with an 8-under 62 on Friday, taking a two-shot lead into the weekend as he looks to win the Houston Open for the first time in 16 months.
After the opening round, Finau spent time practicing his putting with coach Boyd Summerhays, which paid off in a big way. He holed a three-putt from about 25 feet or more and chipped in from 40 feet for eagle on the par-5 eighth.
Finau missed his shot by just 15 feet on the par-3 ninth and final hole, knowing it would be his worst round on the PGA Tour. He was more than happy with his score of 62, the sixth time he has done so since the last Houston Open.
• Scotty Scheffler's streak of consecutive under-par rounds came to an abrupt halt when he missed a 22-inch bogey putt on the final hole of an even-par 70. Scheffler, coming off a winning streak at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship, entered his next match. Despite the afternoon's strong winds, he was still poised to complete his 29th consecutive round under par on the PGA Tour.
