Jeffrey Wright will officially reprise his role as Isaac in The Last of Us season 2.
In the heartbreaking video game sequel, The Last of Us Part 2, Wright plays the secondary antagonist, Isaac Dixon, a former Marine turned leader of the Washington Liberation Front (WLF). Wright will reprise the role in Season 2 of HBO's hit live-action TV adaptation. The actor shared the news on Instagram with the simple caption, “Surprise.”
Wright's addition completes The Last of Us season 2's core cast, which includes Isabella Merced (Dora the Explorer) as Dinah, Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart) as Abby, and Young Maginot (Beef) as Jesse. Wright is not the first voice/motion capture actor from the video game series to join the cast. Merle Dandridge reprised her role as Marlene in season 1. Joel's voice actor Troy Baker and Ellie's voice actor Ashley Johnson both make cameos, with Johnson playing Ellie's mother.
