Tom Bryce will star alongside Sophie Wilde in the feature film adaptation of the hit video game series Watch Dogs.
According to Deadline, Mathieu Turi will direct from a script by Christy LeBlanc and Victoria Bata.
The action-adventure, open-world game Watch Dogs was first released in 2014 and has since spawned three sequels and several companion books, pitting the player as a hacker protagonist caught up in the city's criminal underworld, facing off against crime bosses and rival hackers.
Zombieland screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese were attached to write the film's script before it stalled in development in 2014. Wilde's casting in early 2024 marks the film's first update in several years. No character or plot details have yet been announced.
Bryce most recently played Coriolanus Snow in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and is currently filming the dramas Discussion Materials, A Farewell to Arms and Plain Clothes. He is currently playing Billy the Kid in the MGM+ series of the same name, which is based on the true story of an American outlaw who only lived to be 21. Wilde is perhaps best known for his role in the supernatural horror Talk to Me and has just finished filming the film Baby Girl, co-starring Nicole Kidman and Antonio Banderas.
