Food and travel are closely related. Personally, I travel to eat. I love nothing more than going to new places and trying unique flavors and cuisines. But, of course, not every meal is going to be great. So redditor u/BornThought4074 asked, “In which countries was the food better than expected? And in which countries was the food worse than expected?” People said:
1.“The Turkish food, especially the Turkish breakfast, was amazing. Always lots of fresh bread, pastries, cheese, cold cuts, fruit, olives, hummus, and the best fresh honeycomb I've ever tasted. It was a large feast with small plates.”
2.“Amalfi, Italy. When we went to the Amalfi Coast, we expected the food to be ok considering the area is a tourist destination. We were actually surprised. What we ate Everything was so fresh and consistently delicious.”
3.“Food in Switzerland was not good at all. We did research before every meal to find the best place. Still, all the food we ate was so-so at best. But the view… will not disappoint!”
