Tetra Tech has acquired a systems integration and engineering services company primarily operating in energy, manufacturing, and other highly regulated sectors.
Convergence Controls & Engineering will become part of Tetra Tech's Government Services division, and Tetra Tech aims to further increase synergies between its federal government and infrastructure businesses. Terms of the deal announced Thursday were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Littleton, Colorado, Convergence designs, programs and supports industrial automation systems that help control the consumption and usage of building resources, including energy.
Convergence also touts core focus areas such as customized digital controls and software solutions, data analytics, cloud data integration, and cybersecurity applications.
“The addition of Convergence further expands our talented team of high-end engineers, software developers, and digital transformation consultants serving our water and energy customers,” said Dan Batrack, CEO of Tetra Tech. he said in a release.
The deal involving Convergence comes about three months after Tetra Tech completed its acquisition of LS Technologies, a 500-employee company whose primary government customer is the Federal Aviation Administration. And in January 2023, the company expanded its application modernization, cybersecurity, systems engineering, financial management, and program management capabilities.
