The couple was directly involved in certain aspects. It involved arranging transportation to transport wedding guests from a safari in Africa to Cairo for the ceremony.
Ahead of the welcome party, EgyptAir's private flight suffered an unexpected delay due to intervention by the South African government, which caused great inconvenience. The bride and groom spent hours trying to make sure their guests arrived in Egypt, but in the end they were able to resolve the issue. “We had a great opening night and partied until 5 a.m.,” Jayne recalled to People magazine on April 25. The event, held at the Muhammad Ali Palace, had the theme “Modern Cairo” and featured belly dancers and fire dancers.
