It's still early days for the 2025 recruiting cycle, but Auburn is off to a great start by landing several talented athletes.
Heading into June, Auburn is ranked in the top 10 classes by 247Sports and On3. Auburn's top player, defensive lineman Malik Autry, was recently rated five-star by 247Sports. Not only did Auburn add some talented freshmen to the class, but it also filled several needs on both the offensive and defensive lines. Auburn's early play has impressed ESPN's Craig Horvat.
Horvat recently analyzed ESPN's top freshman class for 2025 and is pleased with what Auburn has got on both sides of the line. The Tigers signed three of the best defensive linemen in the class in Autry, Jordan Crawford and Ja'Caleb Faulk, which is a big part of their No. 8 ranking.
Auburn has three in-state ESPN 300 defensive linemen: Crawford, Ja'Kaleb Faulk and Malik Autry. Crawford stands out as a stocky 300-pounder who moves pretty well for his size. Faulk is an edge player with good length, quickness and change of direction. Autry is also a 300-pounder who provides a big, aggressive presence in the trenches.
Auburn will lose several offensive linemen next season, including transfer Dillon Wade, and Hugh Freeze and staff are in a great position to rebuild thanks to four-star pledges Tavaris Dice and Card Smith.
The Tigers added several big men to their offensive line unit, including Dice and in-state ESPN 300 prospect Kade Smith, both of whom are physically strong offensive linemen with plenty of flexibility and power.
Auburn is ranked No. 8 in ESPN's 2025 recruit rankings, fourth-highest among SEC programs behind Louisiana State, Alabama and Oklahoma. Texas A&M, Tennessee and Georgia rounded out the top 15 as of the end of May.
