Cristiano Ronaldo was in tears after his team was shown three red cards in Friday night's King's Cup final defeat to rivals Al Hilal.
The former Manchester United forward collapsed to his knees as Al Hilal, down to nine men, won 5-4 on penalties after the score was 1-1 after extra time in Jeddah.
The 39-year-old, who set a new Saudi Pro League scoring record with 35 goals, was escorted from the pitch and sat on the bench while being consoled in tears.
The Portugal captain left United in January 2023 to join Al Nasr on a free transfer and has scored 58 goals in 64 games since, but the club has ended this season without a trophy.
The only trophy he has won with Saudi Arabia was winning the Arab Club Champions Cup last year.
Former Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves missed Saudi Pro League champions Al Hilal's first penalty, before ex-United defender Alex Telles also missed.
Both teams then converted four penalties, including one from Ronaldo, before goalkeeper Yassine Bounou saved Al Nasr's final penalty to give Al Hilal their second consecutive domestic win.
Al Hilal took the lead in the seventh minute through former Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic before goalkeeper David Ospina was sent off in the 56th minute.
Ayman Yahya equalised late on and the match went into extra time after Al Hilal's Ali Al Bulayhi and Kalidou Koulibaly received red cards.
