Report: Kings offered Brown a 'competitive' three-year contract, first published by NBC Sports Bay Area
The Kings and manager Mike Brown have exchanged player contract terms, but the two sides have not yet come to an agreement on a contract extension.
Sacramento offered Brown a three-year, $21 million contract, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported Thursday night, citing sources.
The Sacramento Kings have offered head coach Mike Brown a contract extension, a three-year deal through 2026-27 worth $21 million, with a maximum of $27 million with bonuses, according to sources. No agreement has been reached so far. Brown is believed to be seeking around $10 million per year.

Charania reported that the Kings' offer included bonuses that could bring the total contract value to as much as $27 million.
Charania said Brown wants a contract that would pay him at least $10 million per season.
The latest news comes six days after ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Brown and the Kings had shelved talks due to a negotiation impasse.
Brown, 54, has one guaranteed year left on his current contract and is seeking an extension that would make him one of the highest-paid coaches in the NBA.
The Los Angeles Clippers and head coach Ty Lue agreed to a five-year, $70 million contract extension on Wednesday, Charania and The Athletic's Lo Murray reported, citing league sources.
The Kings have a big offseason ahead and one of the first things they need to do is determine the future of Brown, who went 94-70 in two seasons in Sacramento, snapping the team's 16-season playoff drought.
At this point, the two sides appear to be far apart on the terms of the deal.
