See you at NooN is an unassuming little title I found while looking for a game to review. For several years, I was stuck without a computer to play games on, but I couldn't get them out of my head. Really, this is one of the first things he downloaded to his PC. The adorable little Hourglass character was so memorable for its uniqueness that my eyes lit up when I saw the title again in my Steam library.
Pandaloo Interactive We developed this game in 2022 and published it on itch.io and Steam. On the surface, “simple” is the right word, so Pandaroo offers a free version that lets you: in browser. But let's not assume this game is one note. Unsurprisingly, the beginning was something like this…
“The first idea was, what if the movie Tenet was a puzzle game?”
Therefore, the core concepts are not so difficult to describe; nolan movies 2020, is the effect of going backwards in time with positive thinking. To be clear, it moves forward and then performs an action in the opposite direction simultaneously with that forward movement. This may sound a bit paradoxical, but “Meet me at NooN” manages to make this idea understandable. This is thanks to that simple Art style and storytelling. I remember it very well from the beginning, picnic, another dual-wielding cute puzzle game with a unique story. Devolver Digital's indie adventure features a not-so-subtle plot revolving around the fight against industrialization; See you at NooN rather evoke similar emotions Journeycharacters like the Traveler don't have their stories told in words.
The story of this game is similar to another adorable puzzle game I've tried. inventory. She was very endearing as it was a story about a mother cat making lunch for her kittens, but I have to admit that she quickly lost interest in her. In contrast, “Meet me at NooN” kept me going to the next level, the next chapter.I wondered what that hook was. inventory It was missing. Perhaps it's the simple, visually intuitive ability to backtrack? For some reason, fixing mistakes felt more tedious in InBento. The main reason was that I found it tedious to disassemble and recreate meals.
Intentionally, See you at NooN It gives you the opportunity to reevaluate more instantly. What makes this a bit more unique is the way you have to control a daytime character that regresses into nighttime. In line with this, the night character advances the day cycle.
At first, I didn't think of this similarity, and I almost forgot about it after the tutorial was over. And that's exactly where it gets interesting. Like most games, the complexity increases as the game progresses. In this case, the day and night cycle begins to become continuous segments in one stage.
Despite its relatively simple design, I applaud Meet me at NooN for seamlessly introducing its mechanics in such a way that progression feels organic. As the gameplay unfolded, so did the challenge in a strangely relaxing yet satisfying way. In fact, I was smiling every time I cleared a stage!
See you at NooN is a gently paced game with very engaging puzzles that will test your strategic skills against a beautifully simple background and dreamy music. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable game of moderate difficulty that will keep your mind focused day and night.
