The Premier League season is over and things are finally settling down, but managerial changes are already in full swing.
Four managers have left their jobs since Sunday's final day of the campaign – Jurgen Klopp, Roberto de Zerbi, David Moyes and Mauricio Pochettino – the third in the entire campaign period. This is more than the number of people who have resigned as directors.
Many big-name bosses are currently in office, but there is also a possibility that more will retire.
Here's everything you need to know about availability and what's coming up.
Kieran McKenna
What's the situation?
Since joining Ipswich in December 2021, McKenna's impact has been nothing short of sensational.
The former Manchester United manager engineered successive promotions and returned the club to the Premier League for the first time in 22 years, but is unlikely to extend his contract, which runs until 2027.
Which clubs are linked?
Manchester United, Chelsea, Brighton.
United still have Erik ten Hag at the helm, but the club's new co-owner is expected to make a decision on his future after the FA Cup final at Wembley. A United fan since childhood, McKenna spent five years at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Chelsea parted ways with manager Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday, but McKenna is said to be in line with the club's desire to appoint a young, dynamic manager.
Both United and Chelsea have reportedly made contact with McKenna, with Brighton also in the running, with the 38-year-old fitting well with the Seagulls' data-driven model and desire for an attacking style of play.
Roberto De Zerbi
What's the situation?
On Saturday, before the final game of the season, De Zerbi confirmed he would be leaving Brighton.
BBC Sport understands that the 44-year-old Italian is open to remaining in the Premier League with a 'top six' club, but would also consider a move to a Champions League team overseas.
Which clubs are linked?
Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United, Juventus and AC Milan, to name just a few.
His track record in the Premier League makes him an attractive option for Chelsea and Manchester United, with neither team having to pay Brighton any compensation.
The Italian has long been linked with a return to his home country, with Juventus and AC Milan being the leading destinations.
What did De Zerbi say?
“There are no clubs, no one invites us. [anything]”At the moment there is nothing. I hope to work in the Premier League again. I don't know when or where.”
Mauricio Pochettino
What's the situation?
The Argentine left Chelsea by “mutual consent” on Tuesday, just 48 hours after the Premier League season finished.
But Pochettino remains highly regarded for guiding an uneasy, young team to sixth place in the Premier League under difficult circumstances.
Which clubs are linked?
Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Pochettino's track record of coaching young players will be attractive to Bayern, which also boasts Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies and Matthijs Tell. However, BBC Sport understands that the club would prefer a German-speaking player as their next manager, with Burnley's Vincent Kompany currently in talks with Munich, as reported on Wednesday night.
Erik Ten Hag
What is the situation?
Ten Hag is clinging on to his job at Manchester United after a miserable second season at Old Trafford.
Ten Hague could be saved if they win Saturday's FA Cup final, which would see them lift the trophy for the second year in a row.
The 54-year-old former Ajax manager has one year remaining on his contract at the dream venue.
Which clubs are linked?
Bayern Munich.
Ten Hag joined the club at the beginning of Josep Guardiola's reign at Bayern Munich and coached Bayern Munich's second team for two years.
The Dutchman is therefore used to the demands at the Allianz Arena, and his agent also maintains strong links with the club.
What did Ten Hag say?
“I think they are [United’s owners] “They have common sense. But we're still fighting. An FA Cup final is a great thing.”
thomas tuchel
What's the situation?
Bayern Munich announced in February that Tuchel would leave the club at the end of the season.
Which clubs are linked?
Manchester United and Chelsea.
Tuchel's history makes him an attractive option for United, and he has proven himself in the Premier League during his two years at Chelsea.
A return to Chelsea, where Tuchel was sacked in September 2022, seems unlikely.
What did Tuchel say?
“It's no secret that I loved the game at Chelsea. I loved it in England and of course in the Premier League. It was a very, very special time and I remember it well.”
Vincent Kompany
How's the situation?
Kompany is a sought-after figure despite failing to prevent Burnley's relegation to the Championship.
The Belgian helped lift the Clarets into the top division for the first time in 2023, replacing Sean Dyche and transforming the club's style of play.
Kompany's contract at Turf Moor runs until 2028 and the club must pay his full contract fee if they wish to appoint him.
Which clubs are linked?
Bayern Munich and Brighton.
BBC Sport reported on Wednesday night that the surprising name Kompany is in talks to become Bayern's new manager.
The German-speaking 38-year-old has experience playing in the Bundesliga as a Hamburg player and his attacking philosophy will fit well with Bayern's.
Brighton also rate Kompany highly.
What did Kompany say?
“I have never answered a question about my future. Not now, not in the past, not in the future.”
graham potter
What is the situation?
Once regarded as one of the best managers in Europe, Potter is set to be sacked in April 2023 and has been without a job since the end of a tortured seven-month tenure at Chelsea.
Which clubs are linked?
Ajax and Manchester United.
Potter took over as Brighton manager in 2019, replacing Chris Hughton, and changed the club's playing style to a more possession-based one.
Despite his time at Stamford Bridge, Potter's body of work remains highly regarded and Ajax held talks with the Englishman about a move to Amsterdam in April.
United are also said to rate him highly and, unlike the other candidates to replace Ten Hag, would not need a remuneration package to appoint him.
United's next sporting director, Dan Ashworth, also worked with Potter at Brighton.
Potter wants to make sure he is in line with his next club's strategy and long-term plans.
Ruben Amorim
What's the situation?
In 2021, the 39-year-old Amorim led Sporting Lisbon to their first title in 19 years, and their second title in three years with victory earlier this month.
The Portuguese apologised to supporters in April after a mid-season trip to London for talks with West Ham.
Any club wishing to appoint Amorim would have to pay a hefty fee ranging from £8.6m to £17m.
Which clubs are linked?
Chelsea.
The Blues were interested in Amorim in 2022 as they searched for a replacement for Tuchel.
Amorim's stock has risen significantly since then and his pragmatic approach will be well received by supporters who have been calling for the return of manager Jose Mourinho.
What did Amorim say?
“We can't control the future, but I'm very focused on sports and work.”
