The Penn Valley Junior Sports Association (PVJSA) boys basketball travel team, made up of fourth graders from the Lower Merion School District, recently won all five games and claimed the title at the 2024 State Championship Basketball Tournament at Penn State University. obtained.
To qualify for the state championship tournament, a team had to participate in and win the relevant league or tournament championship. The PVJSA team won the gold medal at the Intercounty Basketball Association (ICBA) King of Court Tournament, earning a berth to this year's state tournament.
The team was coached by Christina Brown, a former Wales Valley Junior High student, Harriton High School (2019) graduate, star player on the Rams basketball team, and member of the prestigious 1,000-point club. Her father, Kenny Brown, served as an assistant coach.

PVJSA has been serving the community for over 40 years, providing basketball leagues, clinics and camps for local youth in grades 2-10.
