Palo Alto Networks announced the release of three advanced co-pilots that leverage generative AI (GenAI) and proprietary precision cybersecurity technology. The new Copilots, named Strata Copilot, Prisma Cloud Copilot, and Cortex Copilot, are fully integrated into Palo Alto Networks' flagship security platform. According to the company, these tools help security analysts more efficiently identify, understand, and mitigate threats.
“When generative AI became mainstream, we had a vision that it could be a great tool for autonomous security. That could be a call to action. Delivering on that promise required further innovation,” explained Lee Kralich, chief product officer at Palo Alto Networks. did. “By combining generative AI with other key technologies, we are increasing accuracy and enabling practicality. This is our first step toward making this a reality.” This vision is powered by Precision AI. Enabled by co-pilots, it fundamentally improves security team productivity and security outcomes. ”
Using GenAI with these copilots, you can create specialized Expect improvements in handling security tasks. Palo Alto Networks describes its Precision AI as a unique innovation that combines GenAI with machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) to create an effective assistant. This advanced AI framework uses comprehensive data and proven operational playbooks to provide enhanced support.
Scott Moser, SVP and CISO at Saber, emphasized the utility of these new tools. “Generative AI promises to make security teams more efficient through natural language interfaces, the ability for more team members to query firewalls and all security; It's invaluable in responding quickly to security threats and getting better answers to your questions.”
The three new co-pilots are designed to simplify and streamline the tasks of security analysts. Strata Copilot works with her Strata Network Security platform, which includes both SASE and NGFW deployments, and is accessible via Strata Cloud Manager. Prisma Cloud Copilot supports the entire Prisma Cloud, Code to Cloud platform by helping with risk prioritization, remediation, threat detection, and reporting. Cortex Copilot, on the other hand, is available through the Cortex XSIAM platform and enhances security operations center (SOC) efficiency and effectiveness.
Palo Alto Networks envisions these co-pilots evolving into true learning assistants that enhance their abilities with each interaction. Our continued focus on autonomous cybersecurity aims to provide security teams with faster, more accurate knowledge and insight when they need it most.
New co-pilot enables security professionals to answer product-related questions within a given environment, investigate and visualize activity across applications, users, and threats, and perform complex remediation actions through simple natural language requests. It will look like this.
Palo Alto Networks' new First Officer, powered by Precision AI, is currently available in private preview. The company is also hosting a virtual event titled “Prepare for a Brand-New Fight” to explore these new AI-powered advances in cybersecurity.
