PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — Palm Springs International Airport is preparing for an increase in passenger numbers as spring break approaches. To ensure a smooth trip, PSP officials have published the following list of tips.
1. Early Arrival: All passengers must arrive at least two hours before their flight departure time, whether to check baggage, carry-on, or use priority services such as CLEAR or TSA PreCheck. Must arrive at PSP. This will give you enough time to check your bags, get through security, and get to the gate comfortably.
2. Peak Hours: PSP's busiest hours are expected to be from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. We anticipate that security wait times can exceed 30 minutes during these peak hours.
3. Parking options: High demand for parking is expected. The main parking lot is available for $20 per day, while overflow parking on Kirk Douglas Way is available for $18 per day for travelers using a credit card. The overflow lot will be opened as needed to provide short, complimentary shuttle service to and from the terminal. Signs along the airport road direct travelers to the overflow area. 4. Consider alternative transportation: Carpool services, taxis, and public transportation are convenient ways to get to the airport. This can also save time and reduce parking demands.
