Nottingham Video Game Expo will return in 2024 after two sold-out retro and indie gaming events.
The event, to be held on Saturday 20th July and Sunday 21st July 2024, will be held at Nottingham's Belgrave Rooms, located on Goldsmiths Street, and promises “action-packed games, activities, guest speakers and more” It has been. Doors open at 11am and close at 5pm each day.
Confirmed guests include Antstream Arcade, Derby Computer Museum, Monster Joysticks, Sore Thumb Retro Games, and local food company Donuts will be providing snacks and drinks.
The aim of the event is to “bring the local community together to celebrate gaming and all things other things”, and attendees will be able to “play games in the gaming and developer area, as well as enjoy the stall-style exhibits from traders/sellers. You can visit areas and purchase items [and listen to] Guest speakers from the gaming industry will take to the stage. ”
Previous events have featured special guests such as former Rare staff members David Wise, Paul Machacek and Kev Bayliss.
It has also been confirmed that Mario Kart Tournaments and other games are organized by Nintendo Nottingham, a fan-based organization.
