ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — New technology at the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport will increase security and allow you to get through a little faster.
“We want to make sure people are who they say they are, and that's obviously important for safety,” said TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein.
Farbstein said this is the latest update to their authentication technology (CAT), which authenticates your ID and flight details in real time as you go through security, taking your photo at the checkpoint and scanning your ID to ensure the two match.

Fahlbstein said the technology does not pose a risk to privacy.
