LEWIS CENTER, Ohio (WCMH) — A new 57-acre sports complex with six fields suitable for baseball, football, lacrosse and soccer will open in central Ohio this fall.
Jennings Sports Park is under construction at 5414 Piatt Road in Lewis Center, next to the Evans Farm complex, and is expected to attract more than 500,000 visitors annually. Once completed, the park will have six artificial turf baseball fields that can be converted to soccer, lacrosse, soccer and other sports.
“We are committed to building a state-of-the-art facility in Delaware County,” said Alexius J. Dorsey, founder of Windsor Companies, which is overseeing the project. “The park will serve as a vibrant hub where sport, community and youth potential intersect, promoting discipline, resilience and teamwork.”
Each field will be equipped with advanced lighting, video scoreboards and high-definition cameras for live streaming events. His four fields at the park will cluster around his 50,000-square-foot pavilion with concessions and restroom facilities that will be built in the second phase of the project.
The park has secured a $6.7 million bond package approved by the Delaware County Fiscal Office earlier this month to help complete major infrastructure improvements, including stormwater drainage, sanitation, pipes, lines and facilities. become.
