Nascar's mobile application is facing a major overhaul after the sanctioning body announced new features for fans on Wednesday.
WSC Sports, a Nascar partner for several years, will provide the technology to create in-app stories for fans through its AI software. The new in-app experience significantly enhances Nascar's mobile app, which has a rapidly growing number of users.
Stories are already available in the Nascar app and can be found just below the “Weekend Schedule” tab. It's similar to Instagram or Snapchat Stories. This feature will be available for in-race highlights for all three of Nascar's top divisions.
“Nascar's unique style of close, side-by-side racing provides plenty of highlights each week, and in-app stories are ideal for providing the type of engaging content fans crave on mobile. How,” said Vice President Wyatt Hicks. Nascar's president of digital media said in a press release. “We look forward to continuing our cooperation with WSC Sports and building deeper connections with NASCAR fans around the world.”
WSC Sport has partnered with Nascar and the NTT IndyCar Series in the past. The Tel Aviv-based company leverages AI technology to quickly deliver series highlights.
As part of this announcement, Nascar said the expanded partnership with WSC Sports will “build Nascar's brand resurgence and growth over the past few years, including increased unique users, visits, and page views within the Nascar mobile app starting in 2024.” It is consistent with continuity.”

NASCAR also said that AI technology will enable personalized content for specific drivers, which can improve the fan experience when watching races from home.
