The No. 7 Missouri State softball team advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals for the first time since 2021 with two wins at the Columbia Regional on Sunday. This is the team's third regional final appearance under head coach Larissa Anderson.
Missouri State opened the season with a 5-1 win over Omaha on Sunday at Mizzou Softball Stadium, then beat Omaha again 1-0 in Game 7.
The first win of the day gave the Tigers their 1,500th program win, making them one of only 15 teams in NCAA history to reach that mark.
Lauryn Krings got the start in Game 1 of the day, posting 5.0 IP, 1 H, and 3 K. The Colorado senior also got a start in the second game. By the time he faced the first 11 batters, Krings had seven strikeouts, totaling 15 K through 9 IP, a season high. Krings did not allow a goal and gave his team the chance and legs to survive until the end.
Throughout the tournament, Krings started in all four of the Tigers' wins. She had a 3-0 record and a 0.56 ERA.Through her 25.0 IP she struck out 24 batters and her only two earned runs were her

Sidney Nuismaer started for the Mavericks, marking the first game in which the Tigers did not have to face Kamryn Meyer.
As with the first game, the game started with solid defense, with neither pitcher allowing a total of five runners until the first five innings. The game went into overtime, but batters from both teams remained silent.
The pitcher's battle entered the bottom of the 9th inning, and the Tigers caused a commotion on the bases. Alex Honnold started the rally with a walk. After one out, Abby Hay hits a hit to center field. Out again later. In a two-out, two-on situation, No. 2 Madison Walker finds herself in a two-strike situation. Sensing her pitching potential, she hit a hit to center field in the 9th inning, giving the Tigers a walk-off victory. The Columbia Regional game will be Walker's first at-bat since March.
