SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Santa Barbara Athletic Roundtable completed a successful doubleheader on Monday.
They hosted Women in Sports Day, followed by a prelude to March Madness.
More than 500 local student-athletes gathered at the Earl Warren Showgrounds to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of Title IX's death.
Originally scheduled for last month but postponed due to winter storms, SBART hosted a luncheon with keynote speaker Erin Brummert.
She won a bronze medal for Team USA in bobsled at the 2010 Olympics.
Blumert is a local mom and co-owner of Prevail Conditioning in Santa Barbara.

In the evening, the annual Prelude to March Madness was held at the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table.
Former UCSB assistant coach and UCLA head coach Ben Howland was the speaker.
He showcased his expertise in filling the men's NCAA Tournament berth.
UCSB women's basketball head coach Bonnie Henrickson talked about the women's NCAA Tournament.
“Prelude to March Madness” is a fundraiser for the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table.
