Malbon Golf has done a good job of using stars to raise awareness of upcoming launches and highlight key products since welcoming pro golfer Jason Day to the team at the start of the season. The infamous championship vest that Day was asked to remove by Augusta National officials after the Masters was revealed online, and the brand is using a similar strategy after the Australian golfer debuted some unreleased items at the PGA Championship. Those items, which include lavender shorts and a quarter zip, are now being revealed along with other apparel products.
The collection is called the Malbon Performance Line, and it's definitely the lifestyle golf brand's most technically focused collection to date. However, if you were expecting traditional golf apparel silhouettes like tailored chinos and shorts with belt loops, you're not quite sure what Malbon is about. Sure, the piqué polo comes in neutral colors, but the 95% nylon/5% Lycra is an unconventional choice. The breathable t-shirt is designed to be worn during intense training sessions, and the technical shorts are designed with elastic waistbands and drawstrings instead of belt loops. The quarter zip, already sold out in lavender, has an adjustable cord at the waist and a nice touch of the brand logo in the form of a perforated M on the reverse.
Pieces in the collection range in price from $40 to $150 and are available to purchase now on Malbon's website.
