Jaclyn explained that she began her career in travel advice when she moved to Philadelphia at the age of 18 and took a job at a five-star restaurant called Le Bec Fin.
“I worked there for five years and it opened up my whole world,” she told the outlet. I was fascinated by the people who came there. They were beautifully dressed, riding in Rolls Royces and ordering $5,000 worth of wine. ”
This opened her eyes to the world of travel destinations and she soon found herself working for a local travel agency.
While there, Jaclyn realized she wanted more and imagined even more spectacular trips for her wealthiest clients – specially curated trips.
That's when she realized she was onto something and decided to start her own company focused on helping the ultra-wealthy.
“So I founded the company 16 years ago with the philosophy of knowing the client, knowing the product, and providing everything they need,” the entrepreneur said.
She wanted her company to be able to offer everything to the elite, so she created two different membership formats.
Most of her clients are based in New York, Dallas, and Los Angeles, are between the ages of 55 and 75, and work in the technology industry.
'We charge our customers $75,000 per year for unlimited travel and dining reservations. That's $150,000 a year in unlimited travel, unlimited food, and lifestyle. “That includes arranging spa appointments, recruiting house staff, helping clients build home gyms, and anything else they need,” said the 42-year-old.
She explained that the first tier membership is perfect for clients who are still tied down to work and need someone to take care of all their planning.
The second membership option is perfect for those with a more luxurious lifestyle and boasting multiple homes. According to Jaclyn, this means more “lifestyles to manage.”
The advisor said customers can contact her company at any time regarding travel and lifestyle-related matters and that “we will do everything we can.”
And for Jaclyn, there's no demand she can't handle.
Regarding what her customers want from her, she told the media: “How do I hire Taylor Swift for my birthday party?” or “Is there a new face I like in LA?” There are no rules other than everything needs to happen now. We approve all emails within her 5 minutes.
“And our clients are all really nice. We don't take on any of the heavy lifting because it requires a ton of work and manual labor on the back end. But to me, unreasonable expectations are there is no.”
Jaclyn said she takes about 10 percent from every hotel she books, and explained that booking multiple suites at $30,000 a night each month adds up to a significant amount.
However, the agent admitted that the most important thing to her is that her customers are happy. Because if your customers are happy, they'll keep coming back.
She explained that even if she couldn't meet one of the client's requests and went above and beyond to meet the other “128” requests, she was confident she had secured a forever customer. .
Jaclyn confessed that anything is bookable when it comes to her accomplishments, adding that it all depends on how much money she has.
“We closed Versailles for a private candlelit dinner,” the luxury travel advisor told The Cut. Closed monuments in Türkiye. We had a really cool party at the Pyramid. We've never really had to say “no.” It's all about money. This is the cost. How much do you want to spend? ”
Her website offers tours such as “Private Yacht in Dubai,'' “Morning with a Monk,'' and “Bhutan by Helicopter.''
Jaclyn also revealed that when a client requests something that doesn't exist, she often redirects the client to another activity or location that she thinks will meet the client's expectations.
To get into a booked restaurant, “you have to get to know the people in the restaurant and build relationships,” Jaclyn admitted.
Jaclyn also revealed details of the travel tips the ultra-wealthy will follow this year.
She said most A-listers put a “FedEx label” on their bags and have them shipped in advance so they arrive at their destination so they don't have to drag them through the airport.
“Another trend I'm seeing is that wealthy people don't eat out as much as you might think. They have their own personal chefs to accompany them and help them stay on track with their diets and meet their medical and health goals. “I want to be able to do that,” she added.
And if you really want to travel like the super-rich, Jaclyn shared where she's headed this summer.
She confessed that her wealthy clientele had moved away from Capri and were now looking for a more “unique” experience.
“They go on yachts around Sardinia or to small islands in Sicily. Many of the very wealthy customers don't even stay in hotels anymore. Many hotels are actually super It turns out that it is not suitable for the life of the wealthy.
“They have trophy penthouses, suites that cost $30,000 a night, but there's a lot of heavy lifting to do to get things done the way clients are used to. People have to drink certain types of water, eat certain foods. , or a dark bedroom with seven dog beds,” she told the outlet.
And with the ultra-wealthy no longer staying in hotels, Jaclyn revealed that villas and yachts have become the new popular accommodations.
Luckily, Jaclyn also gave advice to “ordinary” people on how to travel. She explained that if you don't have a lot of money, you shouldn't rely on the social media profiles of millionaires, but instead find a place that fits your budget.
Despite her expertise in dealing with millionaires, Jaclyn admitted she wasn't wealthy as a child. But she knew she was “born to be a millionaire.”
She told the outlet, “I started working when I was 13 because I wanted my own money. I always wanted to make things special. That's what I do in everything I do. I want excellence. It doesn't have to be expensive, it just has to be good. I must have been a princess or something.
She also revealed that when she goes on vacation, she pays for everything herself rather than being compensated.
