Are you worried that your teenager will spend the entire summer playing their favorite video game console or computer game?
By signing up for LSUS's LaPIXEL Academy, you can use your interest in gaming to develop the creative and strategic skills to design your own video games.
The camp will run from June 3rd to June 28th, and will be held on the LSUS campus from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. Lunch will be provided.
Eligible students are between the ages of 13 and 17, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and submit a statement about why they want to participate in the video game design program.
Students can apply at www.lapixelacademy.com and potential participants will be selected from among the applicants.
Applications are currently being accepted and the deadline is April 30th.
“The LaPIXEL Academy provides participants with a unique hands-on opportunity to not only create their own video games, but also learn what it's like to do so in an exciting team-based environment.” said LaPIXEL Director Allen Garthie. Digital Arts and Media Academy. “They develop skills related to character design and animation, storytelling and creativity, video game development, and more.
