VANCOUVER — Retailer London Drugs has enlisted the help of leading third-party experts to upgrade its data infrastructure to safely bring operations back online following a cybersecurity incident that has kept its stores closed since last Sunday. He said he was rebuilding.
The store said in a statement that there are billions of lines of data and code to review, but the team is working around the clock and progress is being made.

The Richmond, British Columbia-based company has more than 80 stores in Alberta, B.C., Saskatchewan and Manitoba, all of which have been closed since Sunday's cybersecurity incident.
The retailer announced Thursday Night X that in-store Canada Post offices are now accessible and pharmacists are stationed in all stores to assist with emergency prescriptions and urgent care.
London Drugs' phone lines are now operational and an insurance services call center has also opened.

The company said in a statement that its investigation to date has found no evidence that the pharmacy's customer database, which includes patients and LDExtra members, was compromised.
The company says the breach has had a significant impact on its operations and that its recovery process is rigorous.
Company President Clint Mahlman said the company is determining whether it can reopen with partial service to quickly serve customers, especially those with prescription needs.
“The tremendous support of our customers and suppliers and their understanding has been shown to all of us at London Drugs as we continue through this cyber security incident in a methodical, safe and responsible manner to protect all our customers and London. “We are very grateful to the “drug community” as we work to make this happen,'' Mahlman said.

The company's phone lines are operational and customers are encouraged to contact their local store or pharmacy if needed, or to show up in person during business hours for immediate assistance, the statement said.
