As a city kid, it's no surprise that I love Chicago, with its world-class architecture, museums, parks, transportation, restaurants, and more. And I love Chicago hotels. Many of them are housed in beautiful historic buildings steeped in history.
I'm happy to be a tourist in that toddler town. But last year he had a chance to check out his North Rebel River in September. There, you can not only rent an apartment, but also have units available for both short-term and long-term stays, where you can spend a day (or several days) living. Chicagoan.
I had a peek at the Rebels Fulton Market location, which was just under construction at the time, but it wasn't until recently that I was able to get a closer look at the venue, and now it's a long-term stay. (in addition to) are also available for short-term stays. apartment rental).
Here's what I said then:
Rebel has both apartments and extended stay units, so there's a pool, hot tub, semi-private outdoor party space with grill, indoor and outdoor lounges, an arcade with complimentary pinball and skeeball, a pet spa and dog run, and a kids' play area. There is a large fitness center with a playroom, yoga room, sauna, steam room and co-working space.
Each unit has large floor-to-ceiling windows for incredible light and views (don't worry, we have full-length shades). Includes washer and dryer, full kitchen, and balcony.
The experience at the new location is quite similar, but with a common space on the rooftop penthouse level that offers stunning panoramic views of the Chicago skyline. Plus, it's located in the ultra-popular Fulton Market/West Loop neighborhood, steps away from some of the city's best restaurants, bars, and shopping (and for beer fans, the new Guinness Open Gate Brewery and many great Local breweries are also just steps away (brewery taprooms like Haymarket and Cruz Blanca).
It's not just other travelers you'll encounter as you experience the amenities on your way there and back, you'll see people walking their dogs, riding the treadmill after work, or heading home from the grocery store at Rebel. . You'll feel like a bit of a Chicagoan while visiting.
I loved sitting in my dark living room and watching the city lights at night.
See photos and details of all amenities here.
There is also a third level property in Old Town, but I have not seen it yet. But between his three amenity-rich venues in popular areas, you'll experience a different kind of neighborhood life with locals.
During my stay, I wanted to check out a restaurant I hadn't been to for dinner, so I stopped by Terra e Mare, 404 S. Wells St. while taking a walk. A first class Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere. Service, fine cuisine and creative cocktails.
