What a week! Here's what to watch this Friday: The attacker behind the ransomware attack on Kaseya in July 2021 was sentenced to more than 13 years in prison this week, Globant partners with F1 to improve its digital services, and IBM improves its services on AWS Marketplace and more. 1. Globant and F1 partners accelerate digital: get it? Do you want to accelerate? Wow, tough crowd. Story: Digital consultancy and software development company Globant partners with F1 in a multi-year deal to “enhance the digital experience for both F1 teams and fans”. As an “official partner”, Globant will support his F1 in building the best-in. class IT systems and products,” the organizations said in a statement. For its first project, Globant, which employs more than 29,000 professionals and is based in 33 countries, will “develop a new system for F1 fans and key stakeholders at events, including a content delivery system to be used on the pit wall. A time streaming solution that transforms and enhances the digital experience, delivering unique multi-channel media to F1 and its key stakeholders.”
2. Guardz integrates with SuperOps PSA-RMM. Guardz has partnered with SuperOps to integrate Guardz's AI-powered unified cybersecurity platform with the SuperOps PSA-RMM platform. This integration makes information and alerts from the Guardz platform available directly within your SuperOps account, enabling MSPs to efficiently manage their clients' cybersecurity posture within their existing SuperOps environment and support customer support. The process is simplified.
3.Extending IBM on AWS: IBM is expanding the availability of its software portfolio on AWS Marketplace to 92 countries. Expansion outside of Denmark, France, Germany, the UK, and the US, where the software is currently available, will ease procurement while also allowing clients and customers to use their AWS commitment spend to purchase his IBM software. It will be. IBM said in a statement that the expansion will give customers enhanced access to IBM's AI and data technologies, including 44 purchasable listings and 29 SaaS products, including automation, security and sustainability software. 4. Kaseya ransomware attackers sentenced: To wrap up this week's Kaseya Connect, our sister site MSSP Alert, in a bit of poetic justice, reports that Ukrainian national Yaroslav Vashinsky has been involved in over 2,500 ransomware attacks, including one in July. He was sentenced to 13 years and 7 months in prison. Kaseya attack in 2021. The U.S. Department of Justice said in a statement that Vasinsky, a 24-year-old who goes by the aliases Rabotnik, Profkomserv and Yarik45, and who pleaded guilty in 2022, will also be fined 16 million yen for carrying out these attacks. He said he would have to pay more than $100 in compensation. He demanded a ransom payment of over $700 million.
