Jose Cuello scored 10 straight points to help push the Giants to a 27-26 halftime lead. The game was tied 46-46 with 3 minutes and 41 seconds left.
Cuello and Cameron Clark were named to the all-tournament team.
Coach Dallas Jensen's Giants finished 27-6 overall and 11-3 in conference play. In his five-year career with COS, Jensen is currently 113-22 overall with a 49-7 conference record.

The COS softball team won five straight games and improved to 19-7 overall and 4-2 in conference play.
Emily Ybarra is the team's top hitter with a batting average of .400. Bayley Bastos pitched well with a 10-2 record and led the team in RBIs with 17.

After losing in two games to Taft last week, the Giants defeated the Cougars 17-5 on Saturday with 20 hits.
Catcher Alex Lopez hit two home runs and drove in six home runs. Nicholas Morelli had a great performance as a reliever, improving to 5-0 and being the winning pitcher.
COS will play Merced in three straight games this week.
The Sequoias are 11-12 overall and 5-6 in conference play.
tennis
The Giant tennis team is wrapping up its conference dual match season and will play a non-conference match this Thursday in Modesto.
The women's team finished the season with a 9-3 record and finished second in the conference behind Fresno with a 7-2 record.
The Giants were 7-4 this season and 5-4 in conference play.
Next week is the conference individual tournament.

athletics stadium
This week, the track and field team will compete in the West Coast Relays at Buchanan High School in Fresno.
COS had a strong performance at the Bakersfield University Relays last week, with the girls winning eight events and the boys winning seven events. Ivy Miller paced the women's team by winning the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdle events.
For the boys, Mekhi Sanchez placed first in the triple jump, second in the 100 meters, and third in the long jump.
