NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A new video of a crawfish-loving New Orleans girl flying live crawfish out of Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is going viral.
Madison, known as “Crawfish Girl” on social media, talked about her adventures as a flying crawfish.
This little crawfish is on a journey, not heading to a boiling pot.
“So the crawfish had the once-in-a-lifetime experience of flying through the economy and traveling across the country,” she said.
New Orleans' own social media site, “Crawfish Girl,” is going viral with videos of crawfish piloting modern jets.
“We'll have 46 million views within a week,” she said.
Madison took the crawfish, whom she affectionately calls “Linda,” to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. The video, captioned “There's no way,” shows little “Linda” wearing pink sunglasses, but there was a way.
“Bringing seafood through TSA doesn't differentiate between raw and cooked seafood. I think this is a bug in emotional support,” she said.
Other travelers were not bothered by this mudbug.
“People loved it. The girl next to me said 'Linda' was a thug with bad friends,” she said.
It's not easy to leave the Big Easy with crawfish.
“They lose their glasses all the time, woof, woof,” she said.
It is clear that this crawfish is part of the reason for the larger crawfish, especially after the recent severe season of drought.
“We’re running a campaign to make crawfish more affordable,” she said.
Once this little crayfish's little summer adventure is over, it's time to live like any other crayfish.
“It's now in the local canal,” she said.
But this mudbug must also be infected by the travel bug.
“Crayfish Girl” is now officially registered as a trademark and we plan to launch products soon.
