The Indianapolis Colts have nine road games scheduled in 2024, but it won't be as many road games as other teams in the league.
They have 11,497 miles to travel, third-fewest in the NFL. Bill Speros said the team traveled 4,906 fewer miles in its first year under coach Shane Steichen compared to the 2023 season.
A big reason why Indianapolis has fewer trips this year, despite having additional road games, is due to a trip to Germany to play the New England Patriots in 2023.
The Colts' shortest trip will be to Nashville to play the Tennessee Titans, and their longest trip will be to the Rockies to take on the Denver Broncos.
The mileage breakdown for Indianapolis is as follows:
- Tennessee Titans (Nashville): 801 miles
- Green Bay Packers: 902 miles
- Minnesota Vikings (Minneapolis): 1,621 miles
- New York Giants (East Rutherford, New Jersey): 1,952 miles
- New York Jets (East Rutherford, New Jersey): 1,952 miles
- Jacksonville Jaguars: 2,401 miles
- New England Patriots (Foxborough, Mass.): 2,586 miles
- Houston Texans: 2,742 miles
- Denver Broncos: 1,999 miles
Not having to travel to the West Coast is definitely an advantage for the Colts, along with the lack of international games on their schedule. This should help players get proper rest throughout the season.
