The NBA announced that the Indiana Pacers will travel to Paris for two games against the San Antonio Spurs next season.
Games are scheduled for Thursday, January 23rd and Saturday, January 25th. This is the fourth time an NBA team has played in Paris, but the first time two regular season games have been played in the French capital in the same season.
“The Pacers have tremendous support from fans around the world, and we are excited about the opportunity to be part of the NBA's efforts to continue bringing the game to a new generation of fans around the world,” said Pacers President of Basketball Operations. Kevin Pritchard said. .
This will be the Pacers' first trip to France and their 10th and 11th international games in franchise history. The Blue and Gold last played outside the United States in 2019 when they played a preseason game in India against the Sacramento Kings.
The trip will include more than one game as players from both the Pacers and Spurs will participate in interactive fan activities, community activities and a Junior NBA Basketball Development Program.
