There are some things in life that you can't go back from. It reminds me of people I've talked to who have lost ridiculous amounts of money to scammers pretending to be in love.
We can't go back to old devices either. She misses her hot pink as much as she misses her Razr. If you think about it, it's an iPhone. The same applies to certain steps in our digital lives. Follow these steps to reward yourself for a job well done.

Create a digital will
3 must-have skills before your next trip
Death is never fun to talk about, but it's a reality. What you choose to do now can really help your loved one in the future.
One of the easiest ways to do this is to create a digital checklist. This is not a legal document, but rather an overview of all your accounts, passwords, and online assets and instructions on how to find them. My mother made this for me before she passed away. I can't tell you how much time and stress it saved me during what was an incredibly emotional time.
Your list can be formal or informal, depending on your preference. It can be an Excel spreadsheet or Word document containing your website, login details, or anything else you want to keep. If you use this method, be sure to password-protect the file and leave the password in your will.
If you're comfortable with it, we highly recommend using a password manager to do this. In most cases, you will have the option to set up a contact who will have access to your login upon passing. If you're more comfortable with paper and pen, use a password notebook.
Here's a checklist to get you started.
- Email, social media, financial and cloud storage accounts
- Online shopping credentials
- Streaming services and other recurring charges
- Loyalty program with travel benefits
- Domain name and website hosting
