Warner Bros. Games has released the first trailer for the next video game in the Wizarding World universe, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.
The studio released a video from its Summer Game Fest on Friday and also announced that the sequel to its hit game “Hogwarts Legacy” will have a release date of September 3rd.
Developed by Unbroken Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games' Portkey Games, the standard edition of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be available for $29.99 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game will be available for free to PlayStation Plus members from September 3 to September 30.
According to Warner Bros., players who own Hogwarts Legacy will receive a “bonus legacy pack” for the new game as a “special gift” when they download Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions and connect their WB Games account.
According to WB Games' official description of the game, “Featuring iconic locations, characters and references from the wizarding world that fans will love, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions highlights the excitement of soaring through legendary arenas as Beaters, Chasers, Keepers and Seekers across a variety of modes. From backyard battles at Weasley Lair to high-stakes showdowns at the Quidditch World Cup, players will dive into legendary arenas as or against iconic characters such as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and many other classic characters.”
The game includes solo play, cooperative online matches, and player-versus-player online competitive games.
