Denver-area schools aren't the only schools to be closed Wednesday night into Thursday in anticipation of heavy snow. 10 to 20 inches of snow is expected in the metropolitan area, with up to 24 inches in some areas, forcing the closure of everything from rec centers to government offices.
Here's what we know so far:

- Cherry Creek Dam Road The store will be closed at 1 a.m. Thursday due to a snowstorm. The road will remain closed until further notice, according to a county press release. The county recommends drivers use Interstate 225 or South Parker Road.
- city of littleton The office and facilities will be closed Thursday and are scheduled to reopen at 10 a.m. Friday. This includes the Littleton Center, Bemis Public Library, Littleton Museum, and Littleton Municipal Courthouse.
- Littleton Museum Farm Due to heavy snow forecast, we will be closed for the time being.
- centennial city All offices, including district courts, will be closed Thursday for in-person services. Services remain virtual and available by calling 303-325-8000.
- Highland Ranch Community Association The recreation center is closed on Thursdays. These include Northridge at 8800 Broadway, Southridge at 4800 McArthur Ranch Road, and Eastridge at 9568 University Blvd. and Westridge (9650 Foothills Canyon Road)
- Colorado High School Activities Association The Aurora office was closed Thursday.
- Evergreen Park and Recreation District The facility will be closed on Thursdays.
- denver art museum Closed on Thursdays.
- Englewood City Facilities such as civic centers, municipal courthouses, recreation centers and libraries will be closed Thursday. Inglewood Trolley will not be operating. If your court date is scheduled for Thursday, March 14th, it will be rescheduled to the same time on Monday, March 18th (call court number 303-762-2580 to reschedule). “Please be aware that if you do not appear in court on Monday or do not contact the court to make arrangements regarding your case, you may be subject to arrest for failure to appear,” the city said. The city will begin services at 10 a.m. Friday.
- Denver City and County Offices The company will be closed on Thursday, and all non-essential employees will be working from home. All emergency services will be operational, and Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas said he does not expect police services to be disrupted due to the weather. All Denver Public Library branches will be closed Thursday. The city's rec center will also be closed Thursday.
- Lakewood City Office We will be closed on Thursday due to bad weather. This includes the Lakewood Parks and Recreation Center.
- Quail Street Recycling Center in Lakewood Closed on Thursdays. The postponed opening is scheduled for Friday, March 15th. Times will be updated at a later date.
